Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with Henry and Romo from The Geek Speak Show. I answered some basic questions about Fan Films, Fanboy Theatre, dropped a couple of names, and tried not too embarrass the Fan Film community too much. You can check out the show here Thanks for the love guys!

Today’s FFOTD is an oldie, but a goodie, from the Godfather of Fan Films Himself, Mr. Donald F. Glut. Atomic Man Vs. Martian Invaders was made way back in 1967, But Glut’s camera work, and all around creativity, make this short a true classic. You can check out Mr. Glut’s website here

If You would like to hear an interview with Mr. Glut I conducted for My podcast (The Fan Film Podcast)  along with fellow Fan Film maven Chris Moshier ( Please click HERE.

Enjoy til’ your head explodes!!

For today’s FFOTD We jet off to France for Director Aurélien Poitrimoult’s brilliant Fan Film, The Green Hornet! Enjoy 🙂

Hey Ladies and Gents, I decided to start up a new feature here on FBT that’s sure to satisfy all of you fellow Fan Film nuts out there, Fan Film Of The Day! FFOTD will spotlight a different Fan Film everyday from Action, to Horror, and everything in between.  Since life has been hectic of late I don’t get a chance to update as often as I used to, or would like to,  so FFOTD will be a great way to get your fix while I’m away.  For our very first installment of FFOTD I figured it would be a poetic move, of sorts, to go with a film by the Director of the very first Fan Film I have had the pleasure of reviewing, The Nightmare Ends On Halloween. The Director is Chris Notarile, The company is Blinky Productions, and the brand new film…DARKMAN! Hope you enjoy folks 🙂

Hey Gang, Just wanted to let everyone know that Fanboy Theatre will once again be attending this years New York Comicon at the lovely Jacob Javits Center in New York City! Yep, This weekend I’ll be roaming the floors of the con, along with my FBT co-horts, looking for juicy interviews and HOPEFULLY, some fellow Fan Film peoples. If I haven’t already, I’m looking forward to meeting you all 🙂 Have fun at the con, and look out for those Cosplay swords, You’ll poke your eye out!!

We’ve got some new material today to pass around to all of you Fan Film Faithfuls out there…A Marvel Comics based Fan Film, Final Escalation, is currently in production, and brought to you by Together Brothers Productions. The film looks to  feature hard hitters from all over the Marvel Universe, I’m amped for ths one! Check out the teaser trailer for the film below. The Youtube page can be found HERE, and of course, The official Facebook page…

Batting in the #2 slot today is a movie by Writer/Director, Matt Eckholm. Questionable Content is the film, based on a web-comic of the same name. This film is currently in production. Here’s a short synopsis, available on the official Youtube page…

“Jeph Jacques’ webcomic is now a feature-length fan film! Marten Reed (Christian Calabrese) is stuck in-between two girls, his curvy roommate Faye (Erika Mathison) and local barista Dora (Solveig Swanson). As with most things in Marten’s life, hilarity ensues.”

The film is a little less serious than most Fan Films We feature here at FBT, providing a much needed breath of fresh air. View the newest trailer for the film below, and don’t forget to visit the official Facebook page. Very cool…

Have fun, but don’t make yourself go blind 🙂

Fan Film Podcast Episode 75

This addition of the award winning Fan Film Podcast is…ok…we’ve never won any awards. In fact we’ve never even been close to be nominated for anything. Our efforts are clearly ignored by the mass media and most people in general. So in this addition of the very underrated and under appreciated Fan Film Podcast Fanboy Will talks about his experiences and offers up some interviews from this year’s New York Comic Con that took place October 8th through the 10th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Fanboy Will did record the panel for the Syfy series Riese. Unfortunately, the audio of the panel is often times hard to hear so we decided to leave it off the new episodes of the Podcast. Instead we’ll offer the audio as a separate file for anyone who really wants to gander a listen. You can make out what’s being said, but in some parts you really have to pay attention to get what the panelists are saying.

Interviews that are included on the Podcast are Vixens of Virtue Vixens of Vice creator Rob Longo as well as actor Corey Feldman. Plus we get stories of all Will’s adventures at the convention.

This will be the last Podcast of 2010. We’ll be back sometime in late winter or early spring of 2011 to bring you all new interviews with the talents behind some great fan films. Both Will and I extend a very happy holiday and hope you’ll keep visiting us both at the Fan Film Follies and Fanboy Theatre as we make our regular updates into the new year.
