Hey Ladies and Gents, I decided to start up a new feature here on FBT that’s sure to satisfy all of you fellow Fan Film nuts out there, Fan Film Of The Day! FFOTD will spotlight a different Fan Film everyday from Action, to Horror, and everything in between.  Since life has been hectic of late I don’t get a chance to update as often as I used to, or would like to,  so FFOTD will be a great way to get your fix while I’m away.  For our very first installment of FFOTD I figured it would be a poetic move, of sorts, to go with a film by the Director of the very first Fan Film I have had the pleasure of reviewing, The Nightmare Ends On Halloween. The Director is Chris Notarile, The company is Blinky Productions, and the brand new film…DARKMAN! Hope you enjoy folks 🙂

-Fanboy Will

While Fanboy Will has been away, the Fan Film community has been finishing films, and/or working on them, left and right! I am quite behind, so please forgive Me for some of the long overdue reviews, and announcements in this update. We’ll start with the new stuff first…Well, It was bound to happen, and it has! Our own, Christopher Moshier (also the head honcho behind Fan Film Follies) has nearly completed his very own Indiana Jones Fan Film! Chris has been working with Director, B. Anthony Gibson, and crew, on a prequel film to Gibson’s 2009′ film, Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Apalachee. The new film, Indiana Jones And The Legend Of Bimini is currently in production in Rochester N.Y., with Mr. Moshier serving as Location Manager. A not so easy undertake considering it’s an Indiana Jones Fan film. I think what I’ve seen thus far looks great, and I have every bit of faith in Mr. Gibson, Moshier, and crew to hit this one out of the park! You can help the cause by visiting the official webpage for the film HERE .   Meanwhile, Enjoy a trailer for, Indiana Jones And The Secret Of The Apalachee. Consume!

Now, on to the rest of the Fan Film Fun! First up is our old pal Chris Notarile, head honcho over at Blinky-Productions.com. Chris has just released two brand new Horror Fan Films based on two of the most popular Horror franchises in cinematic History, Friday The 13th, and Nightmare On Elm Street. Notarile decides to take a different approach this time. Both new films, Krueger-A Tale From Elmstreet, and Voorhees-Born On a Friday, are ‘Year One’ type stories, briefly exploring the evil roots of Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees. Check them both out today in the FBT Screening Room!

Up next, Yet another Fan Film based on everyone’s favorite little boy gone wrong, Jason Voorhees! Friday The XIII-Resurrection, a film by Peter Murfet, is currently available for your viewing pleasure on Youtube. Click HERE for the carnage…

Much More coming your way tomorrow, as FBT’s Updateapalooza rolls on……Be here!

We’re always happy when a member of our Fan Film community manages to get the attention of a Hollywood executive, Director, or actor. Well, These guys have managed to garner the attention of all three with little film you may have heard of, Raiders Of The Lost Ark The Adaptation. Made in the 80’s by a bunch of dedicated, and talented young men from Biloxi Mississippi (Eric Zala, Chris Strompolos, and Jayson Lamb, to be exact..) .Raiders is literally a shot for shot remake of, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, filmed with a VHS Video Camera, starring an all kid cast, and backed by virtually no budget.

The film eventually did so well playing at festivals, small movie houses, and good old fashioned word of mouth, that a copy of the film ended up in the hands of the original film’s creators, the mighty Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas! Needless to say, they both loved it.

Fast forward to 2004′, All three of the filmmakers, now adults with successful careers and families, were so busy with life that their labor of love from all those years ago was reduced to fuzzy warm memory from their childhood. That all changed when Mr. Zala, Strompolos, and Lamb were all personally invited to meet Steven Spielberg at Dreamworks Studios corporate offices.

Well, The Gods of fortune seemed to have smiled on the talented trio once again…Fast forward to the present…

Raiders-The Adaptation, will be screening at Kevin Smith’s Theatre in L.A. this weekend  for a limited engagement! You can buy tickets to this event now, all the info you need is below…..
